I first came to yoga in search of a healthy respite from life’s daily stressors. At that time, I ran a 10-year old communications company that served a wide variety of clients; I had two young children; I suffered from anxiety that far outpaced its triggers. Yoga reawakened in me the sheer exhilaration of movement and play and, more importantly, began to work its magic on my sense of balance and well-being.
I earned my Hatha Yoga certification (2002) so that I could share with others this exciting and powerful path and have continued to study history, anatomy, therapeutics, meditation and philosophy with local and internationally renown teachers. From Chakra Yoga Training to my certification in Anusara Yoga, my enthusiasm has deepened, my practice has broadened and I'm learning more every day.
I am deeply grateful to my teachers and to my students for their dedication, support and willingness to laugh, learn and live fully. I endeavour to help them feel challenged and safe, invigorated and soothed by their time on their mats. I hope that the positive energy they cultivate in class continues to reflect in their thoughts, feelings and actions off the mat.
